Blanket: Patchwork

This blanket was made with the remains of the yarn I had from all of the previous projects I had done. I decided to make randomly sized blocks of various colors and sew them together in a fun way. I happened to have more blue, so that color became the border.

this is really neat...
are they all the same crochet pattern just different sizes (i.e. all single crochet)
Did you just get lucky on the assembly for it working out to be strait edged?
I have lots of random yarn that is just taking up space. This would be great for using it up.

I really like your work...

Thanks! The blocks are all simple double crochet rows. I used graph paper to draw each block so I could make sure they would fit together for a straight edge. Toward the end I laid it out to see what spaces needed to be filled in and made blocks to fit. It was fun to see how it all came together and is definitely a great way to use up your leftover yarn.
